Wow, was a wild night tonight! Non-stop rain, wind, traffic jams and crowds galore for Canadian Music Week!

I started off the night with a screening of the new Doors documentary, WHEN YOU’RE STRANGE, at the Royal Cinema. Liked it!

Then, I was back at Velvet Underground again, because I liked the kind of music they had programmed for Canadian Music Week/Fest. NIGHTMARE AIR did another great set, so there’s more video coming soon from that. Plus, I shot some video of  other bands that were on the bill that night, THE TWO KOREAS, THE BATS PAJAMAS and more. It’s past 5am, or is it 4am? I think the clocks “sprang” ahead for Spring…though the actual Spring Equinox is not for a few days yet…March 20th (wish we could just leave the clocks alone!).

I peeked my head into the Bovine, but it was jammed, so back out I went. Same with the Silver Dollar. Neat that they were open until 4am, due to music week. Ran into my buddy Steve from General Chaos Visuals packing up…sorry I missed the gig he was working for. There’s just so much going on at Music Week!

I knew Saturday night was going to be nutty, but that’s part of the fun. I think I could have done without the rain/wind storm for two days, massive crowds, getting lost in the rain, somewhat soaked, parking space hunting…but what can you do…too much to do, see and hear, too little time…

To sum up CMW, I saw some old friends and made some new ones. I found some great new music and shot some really good video. Good times.
