Some interesting movies coming up!

First there is The Hobbit directed by Peter Jackson, who made The Lord of the Rings trilogy, also in the works is The Adventures of Tintin directed by Steven Spielberg! They’ll both be 3D, no doubt.

Being a reader of both books, I’m looking forward to these films. Films and books are different mediums, so I don’t expect the films to be exactly like the books – that’s a virtual impossibility. I gave up comparing a film adaptation of a book to the original book a long time ago, and learned to enjoy the film for what it is. I think that’s the best approach, and I find I’m often pleasantly surprised that way.

In any case, I’m looking forward to these two films!
